Fantastic Bible Study September 4, 2005
By Colleen
Format:PaperbackI begame a Beth Moore groupie with her first Bible Study on the Old Testiment Tabernacle and have followed her with each successive study that she has written. I’ve also traveled to see her speak, and gone to a similcast or two. That’s the kind of lady she is. If you read her, you’ll love her too, and be trying your best to keep up with her.

This study did not, at the time it was released, have videos to accompany it, so I consequently passed it over and moved on to the next one. I think it’s been more than a year now that Beth finally put videos to this study and made it available as an online study. I completed it last year. It is excellent, as is all her stuff.

I recommend it HIGHLY for the working woman, like me, who hardly has the time to get the laundry done or bills paid on time. You can do each lesson at whatever pace you want and when you have finally completed it then you can log on and watch the video. It took me about 8 months to complete this 10-week study at my own pace. Although I missed the fellowship of the ladies in sharing our stories and meeting in person, it was still very rewarding to have spent the time in God’s word. I still benefited from THAT immensely. ( To sign up for the online study go to: […])

You can’t do a Beth Moore study without growing closer to Jesus and wanting to have the relationship with HIM that Beth has with HIM. She actually has two available online, this one and BELIEVING GOD.

Product Description
In this four week mini Bible Study you will examine your faith and what it means to have faith in God.

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

Our faith begins with what we know and believe about God. Our faith will carry us how far we are willing to let it take us. Faith is a choice and we need to begin by choosing to believe in Jesus and His power to move mountains, heal the sick, and save us from all our sins through His sacrifice on the cross.

When we believe in God we then learn to walk in faith and trust God. But first we must believe, and it’s up to us, we can either choose to believe in Him or not. But faith will mean nothing until we believe with all our heart that God is who He says He is.

This review is from: Faith – Four Week Mini Bible Study (Becoming Press Mini Bible Studies) (Kindle Edition)
This week, I read Heather Bixler’s Mini Bible Study on FAITH. This is one of my favorite subjects, and having been a Christian for many years, I didn’t suppose there was much I hadn’t already heard about it, but it’s nice to hear it, again. My goodness, was I wrong! While the scriptures were familiar, I loved the wonderfully fresh perspectives on them that can only come from someone who is truly “in touch” with the Lord. How can I say something like that? Well, I’ll tell you. It’s because I came away with something life-changing.

It was the suggestion that faith is a choice.

Now, having always considered faith to be something that “grew” in you, something you had to personally work hard to cultivate, this was a highly refreshing thought for me to think about. If all I had to do was choose (like picking chocolate over vanilla), I would choose faith all day long. Then it occurred to me that maybe I simply had the habit of looking where I had been, to figure out where I was going, instead of looking ahead. So, I started making a conscious decision to “choose faith” if ever I spotted an opportunity on my horizon. What a boon to realize there were little opportunities everywhere, once I started looking for them! And what a surprise to discover how much I liked doing it. There was a bonus, too.

Choosing faith has made me feel joyful. It makes me smile when I think about it, and gives me something to look forward to every day. What’s more, it doesn’t go away, like so many other enjoyable things do after they’re over. In short, this little Bible study made me think, and discover new things about my own Christianity. And that’s how I knew for sure where this secret truly came from. Perhaps if you read this book (and I hope you will), God will whisper something joyful to your heart, as well. Meanwhile, I’m very glad Heather Bixler took the time to share what she heard.

Thank you, Heather!
