I have been buying a few Kindle books as I have a rare few days off and am reading 24/7. I don’t normally buy Christian Romance or Amish Romance but had really enjoyed another book by this author – The Apothecary – which was a great ghost book, and this one kept coming up in my recommendations, so I thought I’d give it a try.
I do like Historical Romance and I recommend this book to everyone who does. It’s not so much historical in the sense of past times – but it does give a wonderful account of Amish life which is fascinating and clearly the author knows her stuff. I really enjoy fiction set in an accurate background.
I literally could not put this book down, and I am happy to see there are two more books in the series as I love series.
I just reviewed another book and it too did not come up as Verified Purchase. I am an Aussie and had a Kindle for PC for ages and have just bought a Kindle. As the email addresses are different I am wondering if this is the reason.
I HIGHLY recommend this book.

This book was just the right length for the price. So many books contain tons of filler just to extend the page count–they come off as boring!

This books is anything BUT boring–it was very exciting from start to finish.

I liked how the author handled Lizzie’s past and the mistakes that she made–very tactful writing.

This is a sweet love story, that deals with the trials of family relationships, and how to deal with them in a Christian manner.

I would highly recommend this book to lovers of Amish and Christian Romance who want to read a story with realistic characters, by an author who tells it like it is!
